Feynlab® Leveling Aid

$53.45 $102.63
FEYNLAB® LEVELING AID assists in the final wiping process (leveling) of more complicated coating installations; such as Ceramic Plus and Heal Lite. Different protection aspects of coatings in the FEYNLAB™ family require more in-depth procedures. LEVELING AID is the final step, allowing for optimal film build and adhesion to painted surfaces. It’s main purpose is to reinforce bonding as the final step, leaving the surface with a clear appearance. LEVELING AID also works well in the removal of other coating technology outside of the FEYNLAB chemistry family. Product Benefits: FEYNLAB® LEVELING AID, promotes adhesion, film build, and is the final step to wiping the surface clear for FEYNLAB® coatings such as Ceramic Plus and Heal Lite. FEYNLAB’s™ true nano technology and bonding chemistry allows for an unparalleled level of protection since the formula penetrates further into the existing paint structure than anything else available. Included: 120ml Bottle FEYNLAB® LEVELING AID Cautions: Always wear respirator & gloves during application. Ensure application area is free of loose contamination. Paint Preparation: Thoroughly clean vehicle using FEYNLAB® PURE WASH. Follow with a topical decontamination clay treatment using FEYNLAB® PRIME. If necessary, use a ferrous iron removal product to remove all embedded iron deposits. After polishing paint to desired level, remove all polish oils using FEYNLAB® PANEL PREP to ensure optimal bonding and durability of the coating. LEVELING AID Application Directions: LEVELING AID is used to assist in the removal of specific FEYNLAB® coatings, once coatings have been applied and cured about 75%. Using a new microfiber applicator, apply a LIBERAL amount of LEVELING AID to the panel. The amount of product should be enough to evenly coat the area without over saturation (dripping). Once LEVELING AID is evenly applied to the entire panel(s), its time for removal. To remove, follow the same pattern of application, using two clean MF towels. Towel A (left hand) will remove the majority of coating residue. Towel B (right hand) will remove any remaining residue, revealing a crystal-clear surface. With minimal pressure, gently wipe the surface to a clear finish. Minimal effort should be required– it should feel as effortless as drying a vehicle. ALWAYS keep cap on bottle when not in use. Recommended Maximum Area of Application: HALF of a door or 1/4 of a hood, then wipe off in same pattern as application. Final Inspection: Carefully inspect all finished panels for leftover coating residue (high spots) before moving on to the rest of the car. Commonly edges, emblems and tight spaces tend to hold remaining product. High spots are much easier to remove if you catch within a 20-40 min window after final wipe than later on. Post Application Instructions Avoid any incidental water exposure for 24 hours. Avoid all chemicals including car washes for 7 days. Wash & Maintain using FEYNLAB® PURE WASH or FEYNLAB® PURE RINSELESS and FEYNLAB® DETAILER Climate Notes All FEYNLAB® Coatings are subject to different dwell and curing time windows due to humidity and temperature. In General, the higher the humidity level the quicker the coating will cure. If humidity level approaches 75% or higher then consider lessening the recommended dwell and wipe times for the coating. If possible apply coating in temperature controlled environment 10°C-30°C (50°F-85°F), with humidity as low as possible. Frequently Asked Questions What is a leveling agent? A leveling agent is a specialized product that helps remove high spots and imperfections from ceramic coatings during application. This Feynlab® Leveling Aid makes coating removal easier by breaking down excess product, allowing for smooth and even surfaces. The formula works by softening hardened coating areas, making them simple to wipe away with a microfiber cloth. How does leveling compound compare to polishing for fixing coating issues? Leveling compound offers a gentler approach than polishing for fixing coating high spots. While polishing removes material through abrasion, this leveling agent chemically softens the coating for easy removal. The process preserves more of the underlying coating and doesn't require power tools or specialized pads. For surface preparation needs, consider our prep spray. How do I handle ceramic coating high spots during application? Apply the leveling agent directly to ceramic coating high spots and let it work for a few moments until the surface begins to sweat. Then wipe away the softened coating with a clean microfiber cloth. This process eliminates high spots without damaging the surrounding coating or requiring aggressive correction methods. How long does leveling compound last in the bottle? This leveling agent maintains its effectiveness for years when stored properly in a cool, dry place. The dropper bottle design helps prevent contamination and evaporation. A small amount goes a long way, making each bottle suitable for multiple coating projects. Store away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures for best results. Is smoothing agent safe on paint and clear coat? Yes, this smoothing agent is safe for use on automotive paint and clear coat when used as directed. The formula targets ceramic coating material specifically without damaging the underlying paint surface. Always test in an inconspicuous area first and use proper ventilation due to the product's strong odor. Work in shaded areas away from direct sunlight. What finish does leveling aid create on coated surfaces? The leveling aid creates a smooth, glossy finish that matches the surrounding coated area. After removal of high spots, the surface maintains the original coating's clarity and depth. The product leaves behind nano particles that actually enhance the final appearance and add extra protection to the treated areas. Where can I use ceramic coat high spot remover on my vehicle? Use this ceramic coat high spot remover on any painted surface where coating imperfections occur, including body panels, bumpers, and trim pieces. The product works on horizontal and vertical surfaces equally well. Compatible with coated wheels, though extra care should be taken around brake components and wheel finishes. How do I maintain my coating after using leveling agent? After using leveling agent to correct high spots, maintain the coating with regular washing using pH-neutral products. The treated areas will cure and bond normally with the existing coating. No special care is required for leveled areas once fully cured. For ongoing maintenance, consider our ceramic detailer.
